Wondering if you are pregnant is difficult enough, but wondering if the test is accurate can be much worse. When choosing an early detection pregnancy test, you will want to do your research. Each one can be vastly different in the directions, the method of reading the results, and the sensitivity of picking up elevated hCG levels. Two of the most popular are the First Response Early Pregnancy Test and the Early Pregnancy Test EPT.

First Response has been rated as one of the top brands of early home pregnancy tests. Well known for its accuracy and quick detection of elevated levels of hCG, women can test to find out if they are pregnant as early as four days before their period is even due. Unfortunately, however, levels of hCG vary for women who are not pregnant and the general rule is that you are better off to wait until your period is at least one or two days late.

On the other hand, EPT is another early pregnancy test that has bragging rights of being one of the most popular brands. It also claims a ninety-nine percent accuracy rate. However, they also state that because the hCG levels can vary from person to person, it is best to wait until the day you expect your period or the day after.

Instructions for the First Response are clear and easy for anyone to follow. The user has the choice of placing the test stick in a cup of collected urine or placing it in a stream of urine, holding the applicator tip facing down. Just make certain the application tip is wet with urine and then you simply place it down and wait for the required three minutes for the results.

EPT also has easy instructions to follow and are the same as the First Response. However, the EPT only requires a two minute time period before the results are revealed. While some people may say that it’s only a minute difference, this minute can mean all of the world to a couple waiting to find out if there will be an additional member of their family.

To read the results of the First Response test, you simply must look at the applicator and determine how many pink lines are showing. If you are pregnant, the applicator window will have two pink lines showing. Negative results will show one single pink line in the applicator window. While it seems easy, make certain you have enough urine on the applicator tip or you may not have any lines in the window at all.

The EPT test will either show a positive sign or a negative sign in the window of the applicator. Again, to get the most accurate and reliable results, make sure you follow all of the instructions in the package. Just like the first response, the EPT requires an applicator tip soaked in urine for it to work correctly.

If you are trying to get pregnant or find that you already think you are, don’t take any chances on just any early detection pregnancy test. Both the First Response and EPT will give you fast results and, more importantly, reliable results.

When many couples are trying to get pregnant, they often get very anxious at the time that menstruation usually occurs. First, they must wait until she is a few days later with her period and it may be a few more days before she can get an appointment with her doctor to confirm pregnancy. Instead of waiting, you can find out whether or not you are pregnant by using the First Response Early Detection Pregnancy Test.

The First Response Early Pregnancy Test has been rated as one of the most accurate of all brands of early home pregnancy test. This test was labeled as the best early pregnancy test when The Early Show on CBS did a study of all available brands in 2003. They deemed it to be the most sensitive to levels of hCG, the pregnancy hormone, and found it to be able to detect levels as low as 6.5.

Since 2003, the sensitivity of this early pregnancy test has only gotten better and can read the results as early as four days before your period is due. What this means, for women and men alike is you don’t have to wait impatiently for the time to test. If you are trying to get pregnant, you don’t have to kill time while waiting for your period.

Early detection pregnancy tests are designed to read the pregnancy hormone in women who think they may be pregnant. The range of this hormone in impregnate women is generally between 2 and 5. When you become pregnant, this amount doubles every two or three days. Because First Response detects such low levels of the hormone, you should be able to determine whether or not you are pregnant just a day after you period was due.

Directions for using the First Response early pregnancy test are really quite simple. You can either hold the test stick in your urine stream or, if it is easier, you can collect your urine in a cup and then dip the absorbent tip in the urine. It is that simple and once you have the removed it from the urine, just set it down to await the result.

Three minutes is the required time you must wait to check the results of your early home pregnancy test. However, while the positive result will stay on the test stick for as much as forty-eight hours, a negative result will only be able to be viewed for ten minutes. The results are as quick and simple as the test. One pink lines means you are not pregnant and two pink lines means you are pregnant.

If you are trying to increase your family, you will want to keep the First Response early detection pregnancy test available in your home. Not only is it quick and efficient, it is accurate and very easy to use. This test earned its place as being one of the top brands available and is often used by many doctors in determining the pregnancy of their patients.

Going to the doctor’s early in pregnancy is vital to your baby’s health. Unfortunately, many women often wait longer than they should before confirming their pregnancy. What you may not realize is that you do not have to wait until you are a month late in order to find out. An early detection pregnancy test can help you to determine if you are pregnant as early as one day after missing your period.

Once you have taken an early home pregnancy test and it comes back with a positive result, you will want to contact your gynecologist immediately. The first thing they will do is confirm your pregnancy by taking another test in their office. They will then send you to the lab for blood tests that will measure your hCG, pregnancy hormones more accurately, and you may also be sent for a sonogram to get a more accurate date of delivery.

Both the blood test and the sonogram can help the doctor to determine if you and your baby’s health are in good condition. If your hCG levels are low, it could be a sign that you have an ectopic pregnancy or you may be starting to have a miscarriage. In these cases, early detection pregnancy tests can prevent you from having further complications with your own health.

Your blood test will also test to find out if you are anemic. Unfortunately, it is very common in women and many are often anemic and never know. Anemia is simply a lack of red blood cells and can be caused by many things. Being anemic in pregnancy can lead to many problems for the fetus, including slow growth, premature delivery, and rupture of the amniotic fluid. Early detection pregnancy tests can get you the help needed before any damage to your fetus occurs.

First visits to the obstetrician will usually result in receiving a prescription for prenatal vitamins. These vitamins are especially for pregnant women and will give you all of the extra vitamins and nutrients you need while supporting two lives. Without taking an early pregnancy test, your body and your baby may be deprived of essential nutrients that are needed for optimum health.

Women that drink alcohol or use drugs, even certain drugs prescribed by the doctor, are risking the health of their unborn child. They can cause early brain damage and may even cause deformities to the fetus. Without early pregnancy testing, you may never know if you are pregnant and continuing to use these substances can be very harmful, if not fatal, for a fetus.

Missing your period may be scary and the thought of being pregnant may be one of the most stressful things you go through. Finding out early, however, is crucial for the health of you and your baby. Too many things can go wrong early in pregnancy and early home pregnancy tests will not only allow you to find out quickly, they will allow you the opportunity to get to your obstetrician as early as possible.

Wondering if you are pregnant or not can be very stressful. Whether you are planning to get pregnant or it is unexpected doesn’t matter. Not knowing can be very frustrating. Thankfully, you do have the option of purchasing a test over-the-counter. But how accurate is an early detection pregnancy test?

Many of the early detection pregnancy tests claim to be ninety-nine percent accurate. However, many of these may be tested on women that are at least a week or more beyond the date they were due for their periods. Other tests claim they are able to determine whether or not you are pregnant the day after you miss your period.

Early pregnancy testing is examining the levels of HCG, the pregnancy hormone, and are able to pick up the smallest amount in the urine. A woman who is not pregnant would have an HCG level between 2 and 5. When you become pregnant, these levels will double in amount every two to three days. Someone who is a day late may only have levels between 3 and 10. Therefore, many tests will only state a positive result if the levels are over 25.

Unfortunately, this leads us to determine that if your normal HCG levels are low, testing a day after you miss your period leaves more chance for an inaccurate results. To get more accurate results, you will want to consider these two items. First of all, because the morning urine is the strongest urine, it is always best to complete the test when you first get up. This can help with the accuracy of the test.

Accuracy of an early home pregnancy test can also be increased by making certain you wait for a week after your missed period. At this time, the hormone levels that have been increased due to your pregnancy will be elevated to a more determinable amount. Many will have already reached levels of over 200 or more.

Some of the leading and most accurate brands of early home pregnancy tests are e.p.t., First Response Early Result, Clearblue Easy, and One Step Pregnancy Test. Read the instructions on each packet and choose the one that you find to your liking. Most of the tests may require you to place the urine stick in a cup containing your urine and others may require you to place a drop of your blood on the detection stick. Find one that will be easy for you to do.

While the thought of waiting to find out if you are pregnant may be disturbing, you will find that you will increase the accuracy of the test by waiting until you are at least a week late for your normal period. Again, use your morning urine for the test and it will increase the accuracy of the early detection pregnancy test, as well. Although, most early pregnancy testing will claim to be ninety-nine percent accurate, you will increase your chances of a true result when you take the above precautions.

Many women often run right out and purchase an early detection pregnancy test immediately upon discovering they are late with their period. As early detection has many benefits for you and your baby’s health. If you are trying to get pregnant, you should keep a couple of them on hand. However, there are some things you may not know about early pregnancy testing.

The early home pregnancy tests that you purchase for your home use are virtually the same tests that will be used in your doctor’s office. They use them for detecting the elevated HCG levels that will be in your urine if you are pregnant. Keep in mind that your doctor will still require you to go for blood tests for a more accurate look at these levels, as well as to determine other health issues that can be determined by the examination of your blood.

While early home pregnancy tests may state they are ninety-nine percent accurate, you could be that one percent that is incorrect if you do not wait long enough. The best time to take a pregnancy test is approximately ten to twelve days after ovulation. If you are unsure of when you ovulated, wait until approximately a week after your period was due.

Following all of the instructions that come with the early detection pregnancy test is crucial for accurate results. Some will ask you to urinate in a cup and then place the test strip in the liquid. Another test may ask for you to hold the strip under mid-stream urine. While most of the early home pregnancy tests have different instructions, they generally follow the same rule of using your morning urine for more accurate results.

When purchasing an early home pregnancy test, always make sure you look at the date of expiration. Most retailers will keep track of their expiration dates, however, mistakes can happen. Make it habit when you go into a store to purchase one to always look at the expiration date before you purchase it. Using an expired test could result in a result that is inaccurate and could cause a lot of false expectations or unnecessary stress to your life.

Early detection pregnancy tests can be purchased at almost any local pharmacy or department store. For those who wish complete privacy, ordering the tests online may be more appropriate. Packages will come safely without showing any evidence of what is inside. You can be sure that the tests will arrive quickly, as most online businesses offer same day shipping to their customers.

Whether you are planning to add a new member to your family or it is unexpected surprise, waiting to find out if you are pregnant can be unnerving. Although there is a lot you should know about early home pregnancy tests, you will find it will be a great relief to keep one on hand for instances when you may be late. After all, it is much better to know for sure, than to be stressed out while you wait for your period to arrive.
